Poudre 2nd Alarm Fatal House Fire

At 05:45 on August 16th, 2024  ort Collins 911 (FC911) dispatched Poudre Fire Authority to a structure fire in the 4200 block of Gemstone Lane in Fort Collins. Upon arriving on scene, crews found a large fire in progress at a two-story residence and performed a 360 degree sweep of the property and engaged in an offensive strategy from the inside to fight the fire. At0 6:20 crews achieved fire control. One deceased person was found inside during a search. No other structures were damaged in the fire. Poudre Fire Authority and Fort Collins Police Services (FCPS) are conducting a joint investigation to determine the cause. Additional information provided by Poudre Fire Authority
