Greeley Vehicle Accident

On June 30th, 2024 just after 07:15 Greeley Fire Department and UCHealth Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries in the 1200 block of A St. in Greeley. Medic 18 arrived and advised they had a single vehicle that struck a fixed object and there was no occupants on scene. Engine 1 and Ladder 1 continued in and upon their arrival they established A St. command, found a light pole to be the object struck as well as leaking fluids from the vehicle. Ladder 1 mitigated the leaking fluids and taped off the area surrounding the light pole down. Engine 1 cleared and returned to service while Ladder 1 confirmed the power to the pole was not a safety issue and cleared after flagging the utility pole and downed power line. The Greeley Police Department is conducting an accident investigation and attempting to locate the driver.
