Greeley Fire Department (GFD), covering 64 square miles in Weld County (Colorado) including the areas of Bittersweet, Boomerang, Brentwood, Centennial Park, Centennial Village, Garden City, Glenmere, Hazelton, Hogarty Reservoir, Linn Grove, Monfort Park, Pheasant Run, University Of Northern Colorado-UNC & Union Colony Civic Center. Greeley Fire Department is also cross trained to operate the Greeley-Weld County Airport ARFF apparatus.

Poudre Valley Hook and Ladder Company was founded in 1871, also called “Poudre Valley Hooks” or the “Boomer Hooks” after Captain William. M. Boomer. In 1913 Greeley Fire Department was formed with the hose companies listed as the Boomer Hooks, J.L. Brush Hose Co. No. 1, Geo. D. Statler Hose Co. No. 2, Greeley Hose Co. No. 3, and South Side Hose Co. No. 4. Union Colony Fire Rescue Authority was founded in 1997. In 2011 Union Colony changed the named back to Greeley Fire Department.

Greeley Fire Department has an contract with the Western Hills Fire Protection District to provide fire, medical and all hazards response since 1995.

Greeley Fire Department has automatic and/or mutual-aid agreements with Evans Fire Protection District, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Poudre Fire AuthorityWindsor Severance Fire Rescue.

Greeley Fire Department has an agreement with UC Health Paramedics (UCH) as the medical provider for the district.

Greeley Fire Department (100) is dispatched by Weld County Regional Communications Center.
