West Metro Structure Fire

At 12:46 on September 12th, 2024 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 3400 block of S. Jellison Court in Lakewood. Crews arrived to a working structure fire with heavy smoke and flames threatening two homes on either side. The main structure is a total loss. The people who were inside got out without injury, firefighters found the two missing cats, however, they did not survive. The dog that was in the backyard when the fire started is still missing. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injures were reported. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
