Larimer County Building Fire

On November 3rd, 2024 just before 13:40 the Loveland Emergency Communications Center dispatched Berthoud Fire Protection District and Loveland Fire Rescue Authority to a confirmed commercial structure fire on S. Larimer County Rd. 13. Battalion 41arrived on scene of a large shop/storage building with smoke showing from the center of the structure. Battalion 41 assumed command and assigned Engine 41 to lay in a supply line from the road, complete a 360 and initiate fire attack. Engine 61 and Engine 43 arrived on scene, Engine 43 was assigned to secure a water supply with Tender 46, Engine 61 deployed a second attack line. Battalion 61 became the Alpha Division Supervisor. Crews reported fire on the 1st and 2nd floors along with extension to the attic. Tower 46 and Rescue 42 opened up the bay doors, completed a search and assisted the engine companies with overhaul. Thompson Valley EMS stood by on scene and provided rehab for the fire crews. Larimer County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted with traffic control and flew the thermal imaging drone for the incident commander. Information and photos provided by Loveland Fire Rescue Authority
