Larimer County Ditch Fire

At 17:30 on April 6th, 2024 Fort Collins 911 dispatched Poudre Fire Authority to the 4600 block of E. County Rd. 52 in Larimer County. Due to the Red Flag Warning, high winds, and initial scene side up of multiple spot fires the incident was upgraded to a second alarm outside fire response. Crews were able to bring the fire under control at 17:48. It was determined the cause of the fire was the property owner’s slash pile reignited from the day prior. No injuries were reported by civilians or responders. Additional information provided by Poudre Fire Authority.
