On December 18th, 2024 Mountain View Fire Rescue held a ceremony for Engine 201 with the crews participated in the honored tradition of performing an apparatus push in. The event dates back to the days of horse-drawn equipment when members had to push the equipment into the bay. Engine 201 is a Rosenbauer and will serve as the tech rescue apparatus and serving as both a standard engine and a rescue engine ready to provide rapid response and exceptional service to the Highway 119 area. The former Engine 201, with more than 150,000 miles on the odometer, is moving to a reserve engine and will be able to step in if needed.
