The Rattlesnake Fire Protection District held night training at Stations 251 and 253 on August 24th, 2024. After a dinner served at Station 251, crews responded to a simulated wildland fire outside the Firefighter Zachary D. Lewis Memorial Station (253). Crews then conducted a vehicle extrication and extinguished a vehicle fire back at Station 251. Responding to emergencies at night come with added complications due to low visibility causing problems with size up, identifying potential hazards, tactical deployment and problems placing equipment into service.
