Security Structure Fire

At approximately 16:43 on August 24th, 2024 the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched the Security Fire Department, Fountain Fire Department, Stratmoor Hills Fire Protection District and Hanover Fire Department to the 7700 block of Woody Creek Drive for a possible structure fire. While responding from nearby Security Station 4, Battalion Chief 102 observed a large black smoke column coming from the area of dispatch and called the incident a working fire. After arriving on scene, fire crews got a quick knock on the fire and confirmed all occupants evacuated safely from the residence. No injuries were reported by responders and the fire is currently under investigation by the Pikes Peak Regional Fire Investigation Unit and American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced occupants.
