Platte Valley Structure Fire

On December 20th, 2024 at approximately 21:00 Weld County Regional 911 dispatched Platte Valley Fire Protection District, Greeley Fire Department, Evans Fire Protection District, LaSalle Fire Protection District and UCHealth EMS was dispatched 26790 Weld County Rd. 52 outside of Kersey for a residential structure fire. Engine 701 arrived on scene to a fully involved structure with multiple exposures and started defensive strategy. Chief 701 requested a 2nd alarm One occupant was evaluated and treated by UCHealth EMS. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
