Weld County Structure Fire

On June 26th, 2024 at approximately 16:09 Weld County Regional Communications Center dispatched Front Range Fire Rescue to a possible structure fire in the 3900 block of Cheyenne Drive in the Arrowhead neighborhood in unincorporated Weld County with automatic-aid from Greeley Fire Department, Evans Fire Protection District and LaSalle Fire Protection District. Engine 5 (105) arrived on scene to a single-story residential structure with a working fire on the Alpha-Bravo corner and began an interior attack. Crews found fire in the basement and quickly began extinguishment efforts and primary search. Quick work from mutual-aid partners prevented a serious loss and the fire was put under control at 16:36. One person was displaced by this fire. Crews did locate a dog in the basement and EMS attempted lifesaving efforts however the dog ultimately succumbed the the injuries sustained. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
