Rangely Rural Fire Protection District, covering 1000 square miles and located in Rio Blanco County (Colorado) including the areas of Cedar Ridge, Coal Mine Draw, Dead Dog Draw, Douglas Creek, Elks Park, Johnson Draw, Kenney Reservoir, Parkview, Rangely Airport, Stinking Water Creek, Sulphur Draw, White River & Willow Creek. Rangely Rural Fire Protection District serves approximately 4,000 residents. Much of this land is comprised of rural forested areas and shrubland. The White River bisects the fire protection jurisdictional boundaries.

Emergency Medical Services are provided by Rangely District Hospital Ambulance.
