On July 20th, 2024 Longmont Fire Department held an open house at Station 6. Station 6 serves the southside of Longmont, located on South Pratt Parkway near Ken Pratt Blvd. This is one of two brand-new fire stations in the city. The other is Station 2 on the northwest side of town. The previous Station 6 was on this same piece of property. It was demolished to make way for this larger station. The station has six bays, is two stories tall, has a fire pole, and is the new home for the city’s Hazardous Materials trucks. The station also houses an engine crew (2106) and an AMR ambulance (2126). Additional information provided by Chris Rodgers / Code 10 Photography
