On August 9th, 2025 at approximately 12:30 Thornton Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle fire on Downing St. just south of N. 90th Ave. Engine 3 arrived on scene and found a white Jeep with a fire in the engine compartment. Firefighters were on scene about thirty minutes extinguishing the fire and neutralizing hazards. No injuries were reported and the Thornton Police Department is investigating.
