Headquarters

Police Headquarters & Administration is located at 9551 Civic Center Dr. Thornton Police Department operates under the three divisions: Patrol, Administration, and Detectives, each of which is led by a Deputy Chief. Chief Nelson, a Colorado native, has been with the Thornton Police Department since 1976.  There are 243 commissioned police officers and 77 non-commissioned employees working for the department.

Public Safety Center

Fossil Ridge Public Safety Center (Sub-Station) is located at 13150 Quebec St. and dedicated on September 19th, 2018, also shared with the Thornton Fire Department Station 6.
