Alamosa Smoke Investigation

At approximately 14:12 on September 16th, 2025 Alamosa Fire Department was dispatched to a smoke investigation at the Ortega Middle School, 401 Victoria Ave. Crews arrived to a large school building with nothing showing from the outside and started the investigation. Crews went to the roof to check the air ducts and nothing was found. Crews inside did find an electrical smell and vented the building. After an extended investigation with nothing found burning, crews were put back in service. No injuries were reported and the cause is also unknown at this time.
