Aurora Garage Fire
At 00:13 on December 13th, 2025 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 11800 block of E. Carolina Place. The initial 911 caller reported their house on fire, and a second 911 caller reported flames visible. With that information, Battalion 5 upgraded the response to a working fire. First arriving Engine 4 laid in and observed a large volume of fire consuming the garage from a two-story single-family residential, a vehicle in the driveway and fire extending up the exterior second floor. Engine 4 pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack on the Alpha side and Battalion 5 assumed command and Battalion 2 was incident safety. Engine 7 established a second water supply, along with Engine 11 as they assisted Engine 4 with fire control. Ladder 8 conducted primary searches and Ladder 2 was assigned to outside ventilation. Engine 2 was assigned to medical group with Falck, and Ladder 6 was assigned to RIC. The incident was placed under control by 00:30. No injuries occurred, but 4 residents and 3 pets were displaced and American Red Cross was requested. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
