Aurora Structure Fire

On December 30th, 2025 around 06:30 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 400 block of N. Zion St. Aurora 911 reported that Aurora Police officers on scene observed smoke coming from the roof of the home and possibly in the attic space. Engine 9 arrived to a working fire with smoke from the eves from a single-story single-family and started fire attack. Engine 8 secured the water supply and Ladder 2 split crews for search and vent. Battalion 2 arrived and took over command. Crews located and extinguished a basement fire that extended to the first floor. The incident was placed under control within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was accidental and determined to be electrical. Additional information provided by Aurora Fire Rescue
