At 14:35 on February 5th, 2026 Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) dispatched units to a structure fire at 23005 Weld County Rd. 30 near Milton Reservoir. A large plume of black smoke was widely visible for miles. Upon arrival, Engine 3911 found a small one-story shop fully engulfed with adjacent structures, vehicles and groundcover exposed. Engine 3911 began fire attack and exposure protection, nursing from Tender 3901. Battalion 701 assumed command on Fireground 11 and water operations were moved to Fireground 22. Portable water tanks were placed in the driveway and tender shuttles began. Downed powerlines and difficult access to the bravo exposures challenged the crews, and Brush 3131 contained a secondary fire before it could spread. The incident was placed under control in about 90 minutes, no injuries were reported and Bureau 2463 responded to assist with investigating what caused the fire.
