On February 1st, 2026 Evergreen Fire Protection District Wildland Division held their 3rd annual live fire burn demonstration at Station 2, 1802 Bergen Parkway in Bergan Park. Jefferson County Open Space Park Rangers joined in on explaining how the community can better protect their homes and properties from wildfires. The burn demo allowed homeowners to see how different types of decking are affected by fire. Additional topics were covered, including the importance of keeping debris and overgrowth cleared away from structures.
