South Metro Structure Fire
On March 1st, 2026 at 17:11 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 400 block of Helena Circle in the Acres Green neighborhood. Crews arrived to a two-story single-family home with a small working fire extending up an exterior wall and smoke from the eves, directly above of the exterior fire. Crews fully extinguished the fire at 17:39 preventing the fire from spreading into the attic space. Before crews arrived, a neighbor took action by using a fire extinguisher to slow the spread of the fire, helping prevent further damage to the home. Investigators with the South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire originated on the exterior of the home due to vegetation being burned in the backyard.
