South Metro Structure Fire

On March 4th, 2026 at 12:52 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a structure fire in the 3500 block of E. Lake Drive in Arapahoe County. Upon arrival, crews arrived to working attic fire, in a two-story, single-family home. After a primary search, a single occupant was evacuated and released at the scene. Crews also evacuated 1 dog, 2 cats and a bird. The fire was quickly knocked down, without extension beyond the attic, and overhaul was conducted. No injuries were reported. Arapahoe County Sheriffs secured the scene and provided traffic control. Fire under investigation. Additional information provided South Metro Fire Rescue.
