Loveland East 1st Street Vegetation Fire
Loveland Vegetation Fire
On March 12th, 2026 the Loveland Emergency Communications Center dispatched Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District and Thompson Valley EMS to a reported structure fire on East 1st Street in South Loveland. Upon arrival, firefighters determined this was not a structure on fire, rather a vegetation fire threatening an outbuilding. Wildland 40 was quick to take command and advised Tower 46 to remain on the road due to limited access and reserved the driveway for suppression apparatus. Firefighters were assigned to hoselines and hand tools to extinguish the fire with harsh weather conditions upon them. Extreme winds made extinguishment and overhaul complicated, though the crew from LFRA made strong work, despite the conditions.
