Aurora Residential Structure Fire
At approximately 04:45 on March 26th 2026 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Ironton St. on a report of a residential structure fire. Engine 1 was first on scene and reported smoke coming from the attic. They upgraded the incident to a working structure fire and initiated fast attack. Crews located the fire in the garage and attic and quickly got water on the fire. Primary and secondary searches of the residence were negative. The fire was called under control within 10 minutes of crews arriving on scene. There was moderate damage to the garage and attic. There were no injuries. Unfortunately five residents have been displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. The fire has been determined to be an accidental fire likely due to an electrical failure. Information provided by Aurora Fire Rescue
