South Metro Aircraft Emergency
At approximately 10:00 on April 19th, 2026 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to an aircraft emergency at Centennial Airport. A Cessna 172 went off Runway 17R and came to rest down an embankment on the north end of the airport. The aircraft remained upright with minor damage. One occupant onboard was evaluated by fire medics on scene and did not require transport.
The scene was cleared and turned over to Centennial Airport at approximately 11:00. Information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
