Castle Rock Commercial Structure Fire
At 00:30 on May 12th, 2026 Castle Rock Fire Rescue Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 600 Jerry St. after a 911 caller reported flames and smoke inside the Hideaway Tavern. First arriving Battalion 151 sized up a medium size restaurant with fire showing from the Alpha-Delta corner and assumed command. Quint 151 advanced a 1.75″ line for transitional attack and quickly knocked down all visible fire. Engine 152 laid in from Sixth St. and Jerry St. pulled a second line and made entry with Quint 151 for fire attack. Engine and Medic 154 entered through the front door and conducted a primary search. Safety 151 assumed ISO, completed a 360º and reported laminar smoke inside with fire isolated to the kitchen area. Engine 155 established a second water supply; Medic 153 was assigned incident medical, and Chief 151 assisted at the command post. All searches of the building were clear, no injuries occurred and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
