Aurora Brush Fire

On June 12th, 2026 at 17:00 Aurora Fire Rescue dispatched a possible structure fire at the 11748 E. 14th Ave. Rescue 2 arrived with command on brush fire in the inside and outside of the Mt. Nebo Cemetery and threatening an outbuilding and single-wide trailer. Engine 2 arrived and pulled a 1 3/4 and Engine 1 secured the water supply. Command requested a brush truck and assigned Engine 3 as wildland group, Engine 2 as fire attack with Engine 1 and Ladder 2 with Ladder 5 as search group of the outbuilding. Battalion 2 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side. The fire was quickly put under control and crews worked an extended overhaul on hot spots. The fire burned around one acre and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Aurora Fire Rescue
