Aurora Structure Fire

At 04:07 on October 29th, 2026 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the 15000 block of E. Colfax Ave. While en route to the scene, Battalion 1 upgraded the call to a working fire. Battalion 1 arrived first on scene and reported a fully involved vehicle and single-wide trailer on fire. Engine 3 entered the home with Ladder 5 and conducted fire attack while Ladder 5 did a primary search. Engine 5 secured the water supply and stretched an additional hose to protect the surrounding structures. When Engine 8 arrived, they joined Engine 3 to assist with fire attack. Engine 5 conducted a secondary search of the trailer. All searches were negative. One individual was treated and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The fire was called under control within 20 minutes of the initial 911 calls. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, resulting from a car that crashed into the side of the trailer, igniting the vehicle and the home. No one was displaced by the fire.
