Denver Broncos Support On February 7th, 2016 the Denver Fire Department showed their support for the Denver Broncos as they prepared to battle the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Local 858 ordered special t-shirts for crews to wear on duty to show their support for the home team. The Broncos won 24 to 10.
United In Orange The Arvada Fire Protection District supported the Denver Broncos on February 4th, 2016 as they prepare to face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Elbert Open House Elbert Fire Protection District held their annual open house on November 14th, 2015. Community members were able to meet with firefighters, tour the station and check out the department’s apparatus including their new tender. Tender 232, a 2014 Peterbilt with a 3000-gallon tank arrived in May. The annual open house coincided with the Elbert Craft Fair.
Favorite Firefighter Contest The Denver Wrangler hosted their third annual Favorite Firefighter contest on October 24th, 2015. Several firefighters from the 2016 Colorado Firefighter Calendar competed to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Center.

Fit For Fire 5K The Denver Fire Department 2015 Fit for Fire 5K was held on October 11th, 2015 in Washington Park in Denver. The fun run for kids, a 5K run, a 5K walk. Proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of the Denver Fire Department and the Denver Firefighter’s Burn Foundation.
Station 4 Open House Westminster Fire Department held their annual open house at Station 4 on October 10th, 2015. Kids of all ages came out to learn about fire safety, meet with firefighters, tour the fire engines, fire truck rides and a kiddie combat obstacle course. Flight for Life was also on hand with a landing and tours of the medical helicopter.
