Conifer Christmas Parade On December 4th, 2004 the annual Conifer Christmas Parade was held in Conifer. Santa Claus made his appearance taking a break from the North Pole riding on Elk Creek Fire Protection District Engine 431. Platte Canyon Fire Protection District also participated in the parade.

Jeffco Sheriff Open House On May 30th, 2003 the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office held an open house at 200 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden with Jefferson County Sheriff K-9, Animal Control, Bomb Squad, Mounted Patrol and SWAT. Jefferson County Open Space Park Rangers, Golden Fire Department and Alpine Rescue Team also participated in the event.
