Berthoud Structure Fire
Just before 20:00 on February 19th, 2026 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and Berthoud Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a reported house fire in the 3600 block of Denise Ave. Upon arrival, crews located fire on the exterior of the residence that had extended into the attic space. Engine 61 initiated fire attack on the Charlie side, while Engine 41 and Rescue 42 made entry for fire attack and search. Battalion 41 assumed IC and assigned Battalion 61 to Fire Attack Group Supervisor. The exterior fire was quickly brought under control. Tower 46 and Engine 43 deployed fog nail nozzles — small piercing nozzles that are driven through the roof or gable end — to effectively attack and extinguish the attic fire. There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters.
