On December 11th, 1911 Arvada Hose Company # 1 and Arvada Hose Company # 2 consolidated to became the Arvada Volunteer Fire Department.

Arvada’s first motorized fire engine was a 1923 Graham Brothers chemical engine purchased and the date of 1923 was shown on early patches.

The department was organized in 1949 and shown on early patches.

The department was formed in 1911, and logos and patches were used until late of 2021.

Arvada Fire’s new logo was displayed on the new Medic 55 in November of 2021, and will officially become the new logo of the department in 2022.

Memorial logo for Lieutenant Jim Schaefer (676). Jim passed away on September 10th, 2017, after a year-long battle with liver and pancreatic cancer. Jim served 20 years with the department, and as a lieutenant at Station 3

(Arvada Fire ISO Class 1 Logo) Arvada Fire is one of eight agencies in Colorado with an ISO Class 1 rating and international accreditation by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International. Arvada Fire Protection District is one of only 103 fire departments in the U.S. that have achieved both.
