Glacier View Fire Protection District (GVFPD), founded in 2001 and covering 59 square miles in Larimer County (Colorado) including the areas of Arapaho National Forest, Ben Delatour Scout Ranch-East, Castle Mountain, Cherokee State Wildlife Area-South, Circle Ranch, Cucharas Mountain, Denver University Mountain Center, Drake Ranch, Elkhorn Creek, Deer Meadows, Glacier View Meadows, Green Mountain Meadows, Hewlett Gulch, Hidden Canyon, Lady Moon, Lizard Head Mountain, Lone Pine Creek, Manhead Mountain, Meadow Mountain, North Rim, Red Feather Highlands, Roosevelt National Forest, Sleepy Owl Ranch, Sundance Trail Guest Ranch & Whispering Pines. Glacier View Fire Protection District (GVFPD) was formed in the late 1980’s.

Glacier View Fire Protection District has mutual-aid agreements with Crystal Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, Livermore Fire Protection District, Poudre Canyon Fire Protection District & Red Feather Lakes Volunteer Fire Department.

Glacier View Fire Protection District is dispatched by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center.
