Lamar Ambulance Service was founded in 1975 and operates as a part of the Lamar Fire Department. Lamar Ambulance covers approximately 1,240 square miles, including the areas of Amity, Escondido, Fort Bent Canal, Juniper Village, Lamar Fairgrounds, Lamar Municipal Airport, Madonna of the Trail Monument, Prowers County Fairgrounds, Savage Stadium, Springfield Station Airport, Trap Club & Willow Creek.
