On the 6th of March just after 11:30 PM, the Loveland Emergency Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire on SE 4th Street near S. Madison Avenue. Many of the callers reported smoke and flames coming from a building behind a house. Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Engine 41 and Battalion 41 arrived in the area and located a well-involved fire in a 60’ X 60’ workshop behind a house. Engine 41 accessed a neighboring drive-way to reach the fire building. The officer completed a 360 and follow up report along with a command upgrade to Battalion 41. Engine 41 deployed an initial attack-line in the defensive strategy. The owner stated that the building was unoccupied. Squad 46 and Engine 43 worked on a water supply to Engine 41. Tower 46 and Rescue 42 were assigned to open up the building and Engine 61 deployed a second hose line. Battalion 61 was assigned to the Attack Group Supervisor position. Once the fire was knocked down, crews transitioned to an offensive strategy. Once the fire was brought under control an extensive overhaul operation was initiated, Tender 46 was brought to the scene to assist with overhaul, a crew remained on scene until mid-morning the next day.
