On December 29th, 2024 at approximately 12:05 the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority was dispatched by the Loveland Emergency Communications Center to an unconfirmed residential structure fire at 660 E Eisenhower Blvd. Upon Engine 41’s arrival they confirmed the working fire. Battalion 41 requested it be upgraded to a confirmed working residential fire and for the balance of the response to be sent. Upon the upgrade the Berthoud Fire Protection District, Loveland Police Department, and Thompson Valley EMS were dispatched. Engine 41 completed a 360 of the structure, they discovered smoke coming from the eves on the front side of the structure. Crews pulled a handline and began an interior attack while Squad 46 began a primary search of all apartments. Engine 45 gained a water supply for Engine 41 upon their arrival with a forward lay from the hydrant. Crews discovered a crawlspace under the structure that ran the length of the building and investigated the crawlspace to check for extension. All occupants were confirmed to be out of the building after the primary search was completed and the fire was controlled shortly after. Rescue 42 ventilated the roof and checked for extension into the attic. Crews remained on scene for overhaul and an investigation. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority.
