On April 18, 2026, firefighters from across Colorado gathered at the Eaton Fire Protection District Training Center for a high-intensity training event hosted by the NOCO FOOLS. The session provided first responders with a critical environment to sharpen tactical proficiency in high-risk operations, including live fire suppression and intensive firefighter rescue protocols. By simulating the high-stress conditions of active structure fires, participants refined the essential “bread and butter” skills required to maintain peak readiness on the fireground.

The curriculum emphasized aggressive life-safety maneuvers, such as Vent-Enter-Search (VES) tactics and advanced forcible entry techniques for both residential and commercial barriers. Organizers noted that the collaborative effort fostered a vital exchange of regional knowledge, strengthening mutual aid capabilities throughout the state. This training worked to ensure that Colorado’s fire service remains equipped to handle the evolving challenges of modern emergency response.
