Belmont Fire Department
Belmont Fire Department (BFD), located in San Mateo County.
Belmont Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1926, and in 1928 the Belmont Fire Protection District was organized. Name changed to the Belmont‐San Carlos Fire Department when the San Carlos Fire Department joined the district in 1979. San Carlos left the department in 2011 and merged with the Redwood City Fire Department. Belmont Fire Department joined the Belmont – Foster City – San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department in 2014, and the district was officially formed in 2019 as the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department.
