Ridgeview Ambulance

Ridgeview Ambulance covering over 950 square miles in Minnesota in Carver County, and portions of Hennepin, Le Sueur, McLeod, Nicollet, Scott, Sibley and Wright counties including the areas of Belle Plaine, Chanhassen, Chaska, Gaylord, Jordan, Minnetrista, Mound, Norwood, Young America, Waconia, Watertown & Winsted.

Ridgeview Ambulance is part of the West Metro Emergency Medical Services System.

Ridgeview Ambulance was founded in 1977 when Waconia Ridgeview Hospital began operating ambulance services with one red Cadillac ambulance and averaged 30 calls per month with a staff of two paramedics and eight EMTs. In 1979 with the closing of the Watertown Hospital, Ridgeview added a second ambulance in Watertown and reached 978 annual calls. In 1980 Ridgeview opened its own ambulance dispatch center. In 1992 Ridgeview purchased Winsted Ambulance Service from Allina. In 2008 Ridgeview began providing ambulance management to Arlington Ambulance. In 2017, Ridgeview becomes the ambulance contractor for Le Sueur Ambulance. In 2020 Gaylord Ambulance Service merged.

**In 2023 Chanhassen Fire Department Station 2 became the ambulance base.
