Sheridan Fire District

Sheridan Fire District, covering 145 square miles in Yamhill & Polk Counties (Oregon) including the areas of Ballston, Buel, Central Willamette Valley, McMinnville, Sheridan & West Valley.

Sheridan Fire District established in 1886 as the Sheridan Fire Department. In the 1970’s Sheridan Rural Fire District was created expanding the surrounding rural areas including Ballston and Buell.

Sheridan Fire District serves a contract with Southwestern Polk Rural Fire Protection District (SW Polk Fire District) with services in the rural district and with Station 9 (Station 120) a shared station.

Sheridan Fire District is dispatched by the Yamhill Communications Agency (YCOM).
