Southwestern Polk County Rural Fire Protection District

Southwestern Polk County Rural Fire Protection District (SWPRFD), established in 1947 and a combination district of 123 square miles located in Yamhill & Polk Counties (Oregon) including the areas of Bridgeport, Dallas, Falls City, Oak Grove, Perrydale, Rickreall, Salt Creek, Sheridan & Willamette Valley.

Southwestern Polk Rural Fire Protection District, in cooperation with the Dallas Fire & EMS Department covering approximately 239 square miles 123 square miles. The District also has a contract with Dallas to cover the central and western portions of the District and shares Dallas Fire Station 1 and have two apparatus owned by the district located at that station. 

Southwestern Polk Rural Fire Protection District has a agreement with Sheridan Fire District and shared their Station 9 (Station 120) and has a separate agreement with the City of Falls City. This contract provides that district will provide Falls City Fire Department (FCFD) with apparatus and equipment to be used both in Falls City and in the district. FCFD is to provide personnel to staff and operate this apparatus. SWPRFD pays Falls City an annual amount to support FCFD operations in exchange for response service into the district.

Southwestern Polk Rural Fire Protection District had an three-district interagency agreement with Sheridan Fire District and West Valley Fire District and was to consolidate to form Fire District 22. The IGA has been dissolved and the merge since West Valley Fire was taken over by the Grand Ronde Tribal Emergency Services in 2021.

Southwestern Polk County Rural Fire Protection District is also known as the SW Polk Fire District.

Southwestern Polk County Rural Fire Protection District has other mutual-aid agreements with Polk County Fire District No. 1 (Polk 1) and Salem Fire Department.

Southwestern Polk County Rural Fire Protection District is dispatched by the Willamette Valley Communications Center (WVCC).
