Deadwood Volunteer Fire Department (DVFD), covering 6.6 miles in Lawrence County (South Dakota) including the areas of Black Hills, Blacktail, Broken Boot, Central City, Chinatown, Deadwood Creek, Deadwood Gulch, Gayville, Mt. Moriah, Pluma, Sawmill Gulch, Spearfish Canyon & Terraville.

Deadwood Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1877 as the Pioneer Hook and Ladder Company No. 1 and later as the Deadwood Hook and Ladder Company No. 1.
