Poudre River Water Rescue

On June 2nd, 2020 at 12:25 to a possible water rescue on the Poudre River near the Linden St. bridge in Fort Collins. Engine 1 arrived on scene and reported one person was trapped on an island south of the bridge between Lincoln Ave. & Linden St. Crews found one patient on a mass made up of dry land, with large rocks and brush, and uninjured. The swiftwater team entered the water upstream, with additional responders that set-up a rope system from the shore to deliver Boat 7 to the patient. Crews were able to safely transported the patient back to the shore. Additional information was provided by Poudre Fire Authority.
