On May 27th, 2025 at 05:37 Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 6300 block of Julian St. in Berkey. Engine 12 arrived to one-story residential with flames and smoke showing and started fire attack with Medic 12. All the occupants and pets were evacuated when our crews arrived. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the cause was determined to be accidental. Arson investigators determined the fire originated in a storage room in the basement.
