AMR Safety Jam
The 11th annual AMR Safety Jam was held on June 7th, 2025 at the Lake Minnequa Veterans Memorial Park in Pueblo. Children were able to come and visit vendors to get fun swag, safety items, a new bike helmet, enter to win prizes and get free food. On top of that there were multiple emergency vehicles for the kids to climb on and sit in as well as CDOT trucks ready to be painted. Three helicopters were brought in including one carrying the AMR “Hometown Hero”, BNSF Police Officer/Pueblo West Fire Assistant Chief Dylan Jacketta. He was given his award after his flight in that included a tour of lake Pueblo. Former Denver Broncos “Hall of Fame” linebacker Randy Gradishar was at the event signing autographs and meeting fans. As always there was plenty of fun, lots of safety, and enough food and freebies for everyone. American Medical Response honor guard members present the colors during the national anthem. Some of the agencies that were on hand at the event were on hand were Flight For Life, UCHealth LifeLine, Pueblo Fire Department, Pueblo Police Department, Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, Pueblo County Sheriff Emergency Services Division (ESD), Pueblo County Animal Control. Pueblo County Park Rangers, Pueblo West Fire Department, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, City of Pueblo City Government, Colorado State Patrol, Otero County Heath Department, CommonSpirit, United Healthcare, Pueblo West Amateur Radio Club, Black Hills Energy and more.
