Aurora 2nd Alarm Fire

On March 24th, 2025 at approximately 18:10 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at the Timber Townhomes, 3796 S. Fairplay Way. Dispatched advised that multiple callers were reporting a fence on fire close to a residential building. Engine 6 arrive on scene and observed that the fire had spread to a duplex on the property. A 2nd alarm was quickly dispatched. Crews were on scene over two hours extinguishing the fire, checking for extension and mopping up. A police officer and a civilian were transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
