Aurora House Fire

On April 29th, 2025 around 10:30 Aurora Fire Rescue was alerted to a possible structure fire in the 11200 block of E. Harvard Drive. Engine 11 arrived to a single-family house with no smoke conditions from the street. Crews located and quickly extinguished fire inside a kitchen wall before it could extend into the ceiling joist space. All searches of the home were clear, and the incident was placed under control within 12 minutes. One person was home when the fire started and called 911 and reported flames and smoke coming from an electrical outlet. No injuries occurred and the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction.
