On February 27th, 2025 at 00:14 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 1400 block of N. Chester St. Engine 1 arrived on scene to a working structure fire from an detached garage and pulled a 1 3/4 line for fast attack to the Alpha side. The fire was put under control at 00:30 with no extension to the nearby residence. Crews worked an extensive overhaul. 1 adult living in the garage, 6 adults living in the adjacent home and 3 cats were displaced do to the fire and American Red Cross was requested for assistance. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries. Additional information provided by Aurora Fire Rescue
