Aurora Working Structure Fire

On August 7th, 2025 at approximately 20:00 Aurora 911 dispatched Aurora Fire Rescue to a reported residential structure fire at the Second Timbers Condominiums, 3754 S. Granby Way. Smoke could be seen around the city for several miles. Engine 10 arrived on scene and found a fully involved carport that was spreading to a nearby duplex. Crews were on scene about ninety minutes extinguishing the fire, mopping up hot spots and ventilating the building. Two people were treated at the scene. Five people were displaced from the duplex and were being assisted by the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
