Medic 155 Push-In-Ceremony
Castle Rock Fire & Rescue Department hosted a traditional push-in ceremony on June 28th, 2025 to celebrate the newest addition to the CRFD fleet, Medic 155 at Station 155, 3833 Crowfoot Valley Rd. Since 2013, CRFD had operated with only three Medic units which weren’t enough to meet the emergency call volume generated by the growing community. In fact, during 2024 no Medic units were available for an average of 18-minutes every day due to simultaneous calls for service and patient transports. In November of 2024 residents in the Town of Castle Rock approved a 0.2% sales tax increase to fund public safety needs. Those additional funds contributed to Medic 155 and the hiring of nine firefighters / paramedics. Medic 155 is staffed by a minimum of one Firefighter Paramedic and one Firefighter EMT per shift, running along side Quint 155. The crew also cross-staffs a Type III engine, Brush 155, and the Technical Rescue resources, Collapse and Squad 155. Since entering service on June 21st, 2025 Medic 155 has already improved response times to the northeast portion of the community, allowing the other three Medic units to be available more often.
